Did you know we have funding available to enhance green spaces for environmental and sustainable improvements and to support tenant community projects?
The budget can be used for sprucing up areas with benches, planting of flowers, shrubs and trees, pruning of trees or communal gardening projects. The only catch is it has to be land owned by Mid Devon Housing and the project must benefit more than one tenant or leaseholder.
If you have a suggestion and would like to apply please fill out the application form below detailing your ideas. Alternatively you can email us at tenantinvolvement@middevon.gov.uk or call us on 01884 255255. Please note that if any changes or proposals affect tenants we must follow a consultation process. This means sending letters and a questionnaire to all those affected so everyone has the chance to express their opinion on the proposal. In most cases, we will only go ahead with a project if there is a majority vote yes from the community.
Our most recent projects and consultations include:
Fruit orchard planting in Newton St Cyres
Fruit orchard planting in Uplowman
Wildlife conservation area in Willand
Wildflower verge in Bradninch
New fencing, bench and planting in Halberton.
