Our 2025 Tenancy Management Policy is now open for consultation from the 24th January until the 16th February 2025. The policy sets out our approach to providing an efficient and effective tenancy management service to our tenants.
Registered providers are required to publish clear and accessible policies which outline their approach to tenancy management, including interventions to sustain tenancies and prevent unnecessary evictions, and tackling tenancy fraud, and set out:
(a) The type of tenancies they will grant.
(b) Where they grant tenancies for a fixed term, the length of those terms.
(c) The circumstances in which they will grant tenancies of a particular type.
The aims of this policy are to set out how MDH will manage tenancies in respect of:
Putting people and families at the heart of everything we do;
The types and lengths of tenancies MDH will offer;
The circumstances which determine the type of tenancy that will be offered;
How a tenancy can be brought to an end;
Changes to tenancies and;
MDH approach’s to tenancy management, tackling tenancy fraud and tenancy sustainment.
