Will this mean I lose my tenancy?
No your tenancy will remain the same, it's just the terms and conditions on your tenancy agreement that we are changing.
Do I have to apply for a new tenancy?
No you do not need to apply for a new tenancy.
Do I have to sign a new tenancy agreement?
No. We will give you 28 days’ notice when the new tenancy agreement comes into force.
What if I don’t want my tenancy terms and conditions to change?
You will need to respond to the consultation and tell us why you do not want it to change. If the new tenancy agreement is approved you will be automatically moved onto the new terms and conditions, there is no option for you to stay on your existing tenancy agreement.
I’m currently on a flexible tenancy but I haven’t had any notification from you?
We no longer put tenants onto flexible tenancies but those that are currently on one will roll over onto a periodic secure tenancy at the end of your term. You will then be bound by the terms of the new tenancy agreement. We are not required to consult with our current flexible tenants who do not currently hold secure tenancies.
