Mid Devon District Council’s 2026-2028 Green Enterprise Grants
This is a capital grant scheme that supports Mid Devon businesses, social enterprises and charities to reduce their carbon footprint and move toward a net-zero future.
This scheme offers capital grants covering up to 50% of eligible project costs, with individual grants ranging from £500 to a maximum of £5,000. Please note that applications will not be accepted for projects with total costs exceeding £30,000 (including VAT).
Who can apply?
The scheme is open to Mid Devon‑based:
SMEs and social enterprises
Multi-purpose, charity‑owned and community‑managed village halls, parish halls and community centres
Applicants must have been trading or operating for at least two years, be financially viable, and hold a business/organisation bank account.
Eligible project types
Projects must demonstrate clear and measurable carbon‑saving outcomes. Examples include:
Low‑carbon heating and cooling upgrades
Renewable energy installations (e.g. solar thermal)
Energy‑efficient lighting, sensors, and control systems
Insulation and building fabric improvements
Water‑efficiency measures
Equipment that reduces, reuses, or recycles resources and waste
