Due to the weather disruption caused by Storm Chandra, there is significant surface water and areas of flooding on the road network in Mid Devon.

Please avoid driving unless it is essential - before embarking on your journey, you can check for flooding in your area using the GOV.UK lookup. You can also get the latest travel updates as they happen from Devon & Cornwall Police's Travel Watch Map.


Flooding on the River Batherm, Bampton (from Bampton Community Notice Board, Facebook)Motorists are also being asked not to attempt alternative routes around the affected areas as these are also becoming treacherous, with the fire services currently dealing with several incidents of cars becoming stuck in water.
