How do MDH choose the development sites?

    Mid Devon Housing look at land that is under used. This can be garages or garage ground rent plots which are not utilised or are run down and need demolishing. Other sites can be where we already have properties but they are near or at the end of their life expectancy and are beyond economical repair. 

    Who will be living in the new properties?

    The developments are to increase Mid Devon Housing stock, the properties will be advertised on Devon Home Choice and allocated in line with the Devon Home Choice Policy, which is our standard procedure for all of our properties.

    How do I get a MDH new build property?

    You will need to have an active Devon Home Choice application. You can apply online via the website or request a paper copy. Once you have completed an application form, your housing need is assessed and you will be banded/ prioritised based on your need.
