It is that time of year again as we are gearing up for our Autumn Neighbourhood Walkabouts of 2023. Come along and join us for your local walkabout, meet your Neighbourhood Officer, Councillors, Police, Street Scene and other community partners. Our walkabouts will start on the 25th September and end on the 6th November.
What are Neighbourhood Walkabouts?
Neighbourhood Walkabouts happen every 6 months, in Spring and Autumn. We visit each area in Mid Devon where we have properties to make sure they are being maintained and so that tenants can speak to their Neighbourhood Officer face to face and raise any concerns they may have in their home or neighbourhood.
Why do we carry out Neighbourhood Walkabouts?
To ensure our neighbourhoods are safe
To make sure that our properties, communal areas and open spaces are well maintained and of a good standard
To support the wider tenant community and identify areas for improvement
To offer our tenants the opportunity to engage with their Neighbourhood Officers and other partners
How do I join in?
You can check when we will be in your area by opening the schedule on the right hand side of this page. You can either request for your Neighbourhood Officer to knock on your door during the walkabout (we can arrange a time with you). You can also keep an eye out for us on the day and pop out to say hello.
If you would like to walk your area with your Neighbourhood Officer you can! To book an appointment for a door knock or to walk your area with us, please contact our Tenant Involvement Team using the contact details on the right.
